SPITFIRE X4276 KL-B 6" SCULPTURE
A limited edition of 125 beautiful sculptures displaying the pure essence of form of the famous aeronautic icon, the Supermarine Spitfire. Numbers 1 to 48 will be mounted upon the original engine valves with the balance of 77 sculptures being mounted upon purposefully made bronze stalks. Precision ball and socket engineering facilitates movement so the sculptures can be placed in varying attitudes of 'flight'. All sculptures are set upon a beautiful mahogany and burr walnut plinth with glass dome.
Each sculpture is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, signed both by Christopher Bennett of TMB Art Metal and, more significantly, Alex Henshaw, the renowned test pilot who was so instrumental in the Spitfire’s development in the 1930’s but who has now sadly passed away.
