ASTON MARTIN DB4GT ZAGATO '1VEV'
ESSENCE OF FORM CUFFLINKS
Our beautiful Essence of Form cufflinks are made using metal from what is without doubt one of the most famous, iconic and valuable of all Aston Martin motor cars, the 1961 Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato, registered '1 VEV'.
A modified and lightened version of the road going DB4GT, '1 VEV' was built as a racing car and spent the first couple of years of its existence being operated by Essex Racing under whom it entered numerous events including the 1961 Le Mans race. Nineteen Zagatos were built, each today being hugely desirable and consequently hugely valuable, but '1 VEV' is the most famous of them all.
During the 2007 restoration of '1 VEV' at RS Williams a small quantity of excessively corroded or damaged original aluminium body panel sections were removed and it is specifically from small pieces of this original ex-'1 VEV' Zagato body panel that our unique limited edition Aston Martin DB4GT Essence of Form cufflinks are made.
